About Me

I was born and raised in wonderful rural Montana where I gained a love for being outdoors and working on old cars.  After my first two years of college I dropped out to enlist in the Marine Corps and spent two deployments in Iraq.  With a newfound appreciation for life and the freedoms of our country, this grunt enrolled in a welding/machining program with Montana State University’s College of Technology before venturing into the desert southwest to the Universal Technical Institute (UTI), graduating with an associate’s degree in Automotive Technology and Ford FACT certified.  I turned wrenches for pay for a short while before the down turning economy urged me back to school to deplete my GI BIll.  I shifted focus into the world of public education where I have a part molding the next generation as a US History teacher in western Washington State.  My three biggest passions are cars, shooting, and writing–and I’m indebted to have a wife that supports my obsessions.  Without her, this car project would have never happened.
